BIO

Mac McClanahan, Kansas City ceramicist and sculptor, worked under some of the greatest masters in the city, which shaped his classical interpretations for the medium. He worked with and interned for great ceramicists such as Ken Ferguson, Jim Leedy, Peter Voulkos, John Balistreri, Victor Babu, Rick Hirsch, Kurt Weiser, Chris Custin, and Akio Takamori. McClanahan is a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute with graduate studies education from Boston University. He also attended a two-year residency at Archie Bray Foundation for the ceramic arts in Helena Montana. His previous experiences include ties to respected grassroots galleries in the crossroads association, making him no stranger to its vibrant scene.
