HOLIDAY SHOW

December 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Kansas City, Mo. On Friday, December 2nd,  2016 from 5-10 PM the Todd Weiner Gallery will host the exhibition opening for a Holiday Show featuring local and regional artists at a price point of up to $500 which will run through Saturday December 24th, 2016.

For the month of December, the Todd Weiner Gallery will host its 3rd annual Holiday show. This show will allow the gallery to open up a range of inventory that we only offer once a year. We believe a show highlighting items with a lower price point will afford the opportunity for everyone in the community to purchase a unique piece of art. Affordable art is a time-honored way to bring new collectors and introduce a myriad of artists.

The Holiday Show will highlight works from many artists. Some of these artists include Russell Easterwood, Dennis Lee Mitchell, Dave Root, Marn Jensen, Tanya Lueck, David Gant, and Hugh Merrill. The roster will include artists that have had a longstanding relationship with the gallery as well as emerging artists. The Holiday Show will be a chance to not only offer a range of artists and price points, it will also offer the Todd Weiner Gallery a chance to exhibit items of many different mediums together. Some of the works included are oil paintings, acrylic paintings, smoke on paper works, stoneware, inkjet prints, drawings, jewelry, encaustic photos, and mixed media works in a range of styles.

Noteworthy pieces include holiday paintings from Russell Easterwood, a nude Charcoal drawing from long-standing faculty at the Kansas City Art Institute Jim Sajovic, 3-D drawings from sculptor Steve Pistone, white stoneware cups from Mac McClanahan, and smoke on paper works from 2016 Joan Mitchell Foundation Award finalist Dennis Lee Mitchell.
